A new old friend from Torres Vedras, Portugal, with whom we (dubearth family) shared the decks during the 14 hours long nonstop summer party – Aboboreira 2008.

DJ Luigy has been spreading his tunes for over 20 years and has played his sets in several known portuguese clubs such as Sociedade Anónima, Ouriço, Virtual, Tunel, Obra, Alkaly, Decibel, Clube da Praia, Postigo House Club, Alcantara Club, O2 e Lux-Fragil.

He has been part of several national and international music festivals and parties in Spain, Belgium, Luxemburg, UK and United States, playing with DJs such as Sattoshi Tomiie, Peace Division, Luca Richi, Dj Vibe, Luis Leite, Yen Sung, Rui Vargas and Mike Stellar.
His “deep dark house” style gives “house music” a different taste and quality boost!

DJ Luigy has been involved in self-productions with the soundtrack of the RADOM PROCESS OF CREATING A YOUNG MEN movie as well as with the remix of the Observatory (master) Remix tunes together with Rui Gato (ELASTIC VOID) and labelled by Monocromatica. He has also participated in events promoted by Slingshot, Hipnose Club and Transforma A8.

So we wrote to them, got some high quality tracks & a a little chat.. Here are some interesting facts about these guys:

- They are two guys called Dwight Finish Him and Sexual Dave.

- They’re from schwandorf  – a small boring (as they say) town in bavaria, Germany.

- Started making music early 2008.

- Started making noize cause they were tired of getting stoned and watching german trash TV every day…or simply because of a lack of sexual activities.

- After experimenting a few months on the korg m3 they decided to abuse that workstation for some dirty,filthy sounds.

- Just love acts like: MSTRKRFT, Boys Noize, Justice, Toxic Avenger, Deichkind, Chemical Brothers, Ed Banger Stuff, Sleinkster, Nightbreaker, Oizo, Elektrochemie LK, Kraftwerk, etc…

- Also non electronic acts like: Falco, Nine inch Nails, Guns n..Roses, Wu-Tang, Mark Lanegan, Rage against the machine, Helge Schneider.

- Other influences: Trash TV, the sickness of our society, He-Man.

- Films that influenced them: Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Big Lebowski, Natural Born Killers, Monthy Python Films, KIDS, Snatch…

New Contemporary Acousmatic Noise

Hyaena Reich (Iana Reis) is a portuguese composer and performer. She has been developing a body of sound work since 1996. Her work spins around experimentation and improvisation, involving the capture of real life sounds and ambients, as well as improvised and planned sound sequences with uncanny sound sources – metal and wood objects, stones or the exploration of sounds in spaces with specific acoustic characteristics – being afterwards edited and sequenced according to soundtrack-building techniques, breaking the borders between mere experimental music and sound in cinematic space.

She has a background of Film Studies, Sound Engineering and Scriptwriting taken at the Lisbon Conservatory, is daughter of film directors Margarida Cordeiro and António Reis, has studied matters of improvisation, experimentalism and musicology with portuguese experimental pioneers Vitor Rua and Jorge Lima Barreto (from experimental duo Telectu) and has fronted the solo projects Imbolc, ZLKNF and Arraial, being also the head of experimentalist collective Sabotage en Masse.

This is a short bio of our new portuguese friend Iana Reis. She contacted LorenzFactor a few months ago  showing some interest in working together. We introduced her our DubEarth.com and ask her for some occasional participation in our family. As you can see she accepted the invitation.

The theme AGNELLA DIRIGIRE I is from 2008 and comes to us in first hand, because it is going to be part of the next album VIDEA (not yet released).  LUNGO IL SENTIERO VERSO OLTREMARE  is from 2004.
